Slavery a will!

The following dialogue is according to Thomas Wiedemann, in his book 'Greek & Roman Slavery' (1981).
  • Poverty: But if Wealth were not blind, if he distributed himself in equal shares to everyone, there wouldn't be a single person who would bother to exercise any craft or kill. And if these disappeared, who would work as a smith or build ships or sew clothes or make wheels or shields or bricks or run a laundry or a tannery or break the soil by ploughing in order to reap Demester's harvest-if you could live without bothering about any of these things?
  • Khremylos: You're talking rubbish. All the labours you've just listed could be done for us by our slaves.
  • Poverty: And where would you get your slaves from?
  • Khremylos: We'd buy them for money ofcourse.
  • Poverty: But who would have an incentive to trade in slaves if he was already well off?
  • Khremylos: Some marchant would come from Thessaly in the hope of making profit - that's where most of the men who kidnap slaves come from.
  • Poverty: But the logical conclusion of your argument is that not a single slave-trader would be left. Would anyone who was rich risk his life in such a profession? Of course not - you will be forced to plough and dig and do all the other hard work yourself, and your life will be twice as unpleasant as it is now.
Mankind will never be free from his own oppression that is fueled by the obsession of power and greed! We all slaves to our own beliefs, opinions and creations. Democracy is an institution that was formed to manipulate the minds of the poor to accept the fact that they are being ruled by their own will, think about it 'democracy is the rule by the people for the people' and 'Democray is a system of rule where by the poor rule'. Marxism would suggest that there should be an equal distribution of power and wealth. Acording to Wiedemann, T (1981). Being free (libertas) is the natural ability to do whatever anyone pleases, unless one is prevented from doing it either by force or law (i'm sure you remember our last incounter with law)....

Bricks summit 2013

It is not easy to follow such a big event like the 'brics summit 2013' when you are not in the scene of the event, live. The interest in the economic growth of the country started during the war between president Jacob Zuma and former president Thabo Mbeki in 2007, ever since then the career path is dependent to growth of the industrial economic strength and a level of academic advancement. We saw the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) being launched and other numerious economic enpoerments that have been established by the new government to regain economic equality for all, when you see such initiatives that envolves powerful countries like China, Russia, Brazil and India coming together and involving our country in the process it arouses positive impulses in ones cognitive thinking towards the future of the country. Unemployment, Corruption, Sin, Crime and Poverty are the core of every state issue raised because not long ago it was the state of the nation address, Oscar Pistorius's shooting, the marikana trial and the Inkandla mension. Recently South Africa soldiers were killed by rabels in central Africa and South Africa has signed a deal with Russia to let Russia park their big birds on our backyard, for as long as thier soldiers are keeping peace in central Africa. in a local  radio interview and phoned in caller commented negatively about the relationship between SA and Russia "Russia does not really care about the South African economy they only in it for gain and to secure a military base in the country" that was the caller expressing his view on air. The brics summit beats all my current interest in goverment initiatives, because for first time i can analys things clear. As this summit ends today it assures that this is the start for a long-term business relationship between the five countries, setting levels for other African countries South Africa claims that their aim is to also assist its counter-parts as most of the countries investments are in the continent.
The creation of a brics bank seem to be at focus in the summit, this will shift the focus fro the world bank and i could America might not like this!

Illuminate (myth or true)

Do you believe?
How deep does your belief in the center of power extend, over the years there has been a lot of specurlation about the New World Order. I'm sure most of you have watched the movie '2012' which was released last year, it is said that the are people who control the entire world through media, banks, politics and many other activities that ordinary people engage on in everyday life.

A facebook page named 'Learn to think' shared this image in the year wall post. Does this group of alite really exist and if it does do they really mean to be bad to human kind since they are rich and have all that power, by the looks of things every bad event that happens in a state it is said to be their doing. Hip Hop artist have already been given the tittle to be part of the illuminati by some people. Presidents of wealthy countries said to be part, actually every rich person is said to be associated with the alite group.  The world seems to be unfit to stand on its own it always needs someone to take charge, people love living on other peoples opinions. This can only be a myth if its not true, but how will we find out? there is no way of finding out because of the many propagandas being created everyday!

All time best soul Music

Some songs just never loose texture, some a like wine, the older they are, amazing they sound. Today i took the whole day listening to soul music while i was busy studying. Over the years i made a collection of almost all soul music songs out there for myself, but my collection is incomplete as some songs i still do not have. It's 20H30 central African time (CAT) and  i've been studying, compilling notes and collecting data for my political science assignment. About the assignment we were ask to 'discuss marxism as a political idealogy' well i'm finding this task very difficult especially on how to conceptualize it, if anyone has ideas please help a brother out! Anyway this ain't about my work but about soul music. Growing up i was channeled that soul music is for people in love or with a broken heart but that is not entirely true because soul music also allows your brain to think clear and relaxes the muscles and makes the heart happy which means it increases your days on earth. I thought before i sleep why don't i share my all time top 10 soul music song, i'm putting them in numeric system so that they can be in the order of my choice its not like i love the other one better than the other one.

(1)Kenny G ft Aaron Neville~ Even if my heart would break
(2)Boys II Men~ Dreams
(3)Syleena Johnson~ Baby i'm so confused
(4)Mariah Carey~ Exhale
(5)Alicia Keys~ Brand new me
(6)Anthony Hamilton~ Pray for me
(7)Mariah Carey~ Hero
(8)Toni Braxton~ Spanish Guiter
(9)Temptations~ Soul to soul
(10)Phill Collins~ Can't turn back the years

There are still more songs that i love, but today i guess these are the ones that really touch my soul!

God's Love

Kaycee Bhuti Skhosana

Prayer: Dear God I kneel before you, I know i have not been the best son recently and i have questioned you a lot lately. Only because i wanted to find the right path, discover my hidden abilities. As always the first thing i would ask you is to keep my grandma safe for me, keep my mom strong for me, watch over my entire family for me and bless all my friends and relatives. It's not easy walking in this painful Earth without shoes, dreaming in the middle of the day, hoping were hope is lost. But i promise myself lord coz i have my self to fool at the end of it all, i will never give up on life and its challenges because you took me out of death without a scrach and gave me a second chance in life, and for that i will never settle for less i rather have nothing but your grace. Difficult situation will never define, destroy, nor denia me of my rightful place in this world.... I've seen another day and it's a Sunday, I'm grateful! One last thing dear lord 'Happy happy birthday to my friend and mentor Bolelang Rakeepile may you bless his life with happiness and many more years..... Amen

World Water Day.......

Today, Friday 22nd March its World Water Day: Yesterday we celebrated Human Rights Day and one of our natural human rights is the rights to access to clean water. In africa millions of people do not have sccess to clean water and close to billion around the world do not have access to claen water. While we take our water for granted lets remember that there those who do not have even a single drop of safe water, lets try to make an awareness of how important safe is to the whole world.

Hope my contribution to this day will make a difference and make those who are not aware of the struggle also get up and join the movement! Sitjaba sikanzunza nomanala akhe siqalelaneni ngobenyana umhlaba lo uyahlaba....

LAW

Have you ever for a second think about what brought meaning to what we call our different languages, it is said that language used to be one. The thing is, meaning can be over time be constructed into an existing word that already has a meaning. Lets take for instead the word 'ass' literary it means the behind of a person or an animal, but figuritively it means something so rude that i can't really mention in my blog coz it is not moral. These meanings in the words seem to have a great deal in social cohesion, for a society to understand its nature it has to find common ground, there has to be a fair level of interaction(Interpersonal and intrapersonal). Societies are constructed institutions that classify the level of a person's standard, people fear to question the way they live because they fear that they might be questioning life (Law). This is how: it is said that nobody is above the law, The law has people who punish, The are people who can change the law and the law is unfair to everyone accept the ones who benefit from the law.

LAW
For all we know law existed through time, people where told what to do for a very long time now. It was believed that a human being needs to be taught how to behave in order to keep social order, hence the over growing production of deadly weapons and bombs. The aim is not to protect the population but to keep control from the top. Muschamp, D (1986) in his book 'political thinkers' argues that a society may contain wise, just, courageous and temperate people.  He adds that 'character, opinions and attitudes of individuals are the products of society'. In any institution it might be religion, governement or any other organiztion the level of power is not share evenly to serve everyone. Here is what is in the dark, peolpe are cable of mass distruction and they can bring power to the ground and those who are at the top know that very well. So law is what we believe is actually right and should be accepted without being questioned and if you start to question the things around you, it is said you are breaking the law.

Monarchy, aristocracy, polity, democracy, oligarchy and tyranny. Do they ring a bell, these are the six systems of rule, like as espected these systems are social created models to control a population with the idea that the system favours the population. Democracy as the rule by the poor, and probably the many, for their sake. This system is the most popurlar used system used in our modern societies, it is a slap in the face of the poor because  the poor are never there in policy making and they are never there in any decision making. Aristotle saw that, obedience to the law by the rulers (those with power) is not something that can be enforced. The rulers must simply respect the law, nothing can make them obey it (Muschamp, D. 1986). This is one of the most revealing statement that those in power use the law to surpress ordinary individuals, since the biased law can't touch them it is a good idea that it should be more enforced and strengthened.

What are drugs?

Need Help with Media

Today i'm writing a test in Media 201, the thing is that the only topic we dealt with or that was introduced in this course was the right to freedom of expression. I tried to study news beats with accordance with the right and included limitations, also downloaded the SADC Media Law pdf document as it was prescribed for us, but still i can't understand what is there really to study as this all is general knowledge.
I feel like i'm going to fail this test, but i'm not giving up without a fight. If there is anyone who has a clue on how to study media please help me out, ever since i started this course i find it very difficult/useless to pick up my books and study media.

You help would be much appreciated................RESPECT

South Africa, United States, Brazil and Germany.

These countries i owe a great deal of gratitude, everyday my blog gets a viewer from these countries. The other time when i checked my stats the were viewers from a country by the named Latvia, that included Ukraine, Canada and India. But in the rather interesting prospective Russia, France and United Kingdom also showed some interest in my blog, this one time Russia provided me with over 140 views. I'm almost at 1500 viewers so i wish to reach 2000 views before my birthday next week Thursday!

More Problems for South Africa..

Magistrate's courts across the country are facing a total shutdown as magistrates threaten to go on strike if their salaries are not adjusted, according to a report on Times Live.
Magistrates rejected the five percent salary recommendation made by the Independent Remuneration Commission and said that the commission had failed to correct flaws in its recommendation. The strike was expected to start on March 18.
There were serious implications if the strike were to go ahead. Awaiting trial prisoners needed J7 forms to be signed by magistrates in order to keep them detained. If not signed, they may have to be sent home. said Times Live.

On the other hand a series of high-profile incidents this year that include the deadly shooting by Olympian sprinter Oscar Pistorius of his girlfriend and the brutal rape and mutilation of a teenage girl.
In another incident last week, a Mozambican died in custody after he was handcuffed and dragged behind a police van.
But Zuma said an outpouring of outraged "disgust" should not see all citizens painted as brutal or the country as an "inherently violent place to live in" Yahoo news report.

According to latest annual police statistics, South Africa recorded more than 64,514 rapes and 15,609 murders. Yahoo news said!
